This was written by the president of Italia Viva, Matteo Renzi, in a letter sent to the members of the national assembly of the party. “The tensions in the radical right, the divisions of the populist left, the weakness of the reformists of both sides confirm us in the belief of an extraordinary possibility not so much for us as Italia Viva but for all those who generously try to build a unitary alternative to these two alignments – writes the former prime minister -. In short: this is not the time to withdraw into a shell but to try to give a roof over to all the Italian and European reformists. We will continue to do so with tenacity and political intelligence”.
“In the light of the debate of the Naples Assembly, I proceeded – as per statutory provisions – to appoint the Control Room and the Rules Committee. The objective – he observes – is to hold the congresses between October and November. It will be the National Assembly that we will convene online to ratify the proposals of the rules committee”.
“In the light of some proposals that arrived even after the Assembly, I think it useful to accept every critical remark and therefore I have asked the members of the rules committee to proceed with the election of the national summit this autumn without postponing it to 2024. I would really like to avoid internal controversies and that together we can focus on relaunching our policies.
The important thing – Renzi continues – is that the congress is not just a count of names but a good opportunity to strengthen our ideas on Europe and Italy. In the meantime, the young people will be in Palermo from 5 to 7 September for the training school while the first Italia Viva National Day will be held from 14 to 17 September”.

And the members: Davide Bendinelli, Ciro Buonajuto, Filippo Campiotti, Mario Polese, Marco Ricci, Ivan Scalfarotto. The group leaders and head of delegation in the parliamentary groups and the managers of Italia Viva abroad also participate in the work of the booth”.
