IV Edition of the Cáritas Solidarity Vermouth: A Weeklong Celebration of Generosity and Volunteerism in Guadalajara

Last September 7, the eve of the feast of our Patroness, the Virgin of La Antigua, the IV edition of the well-known Cáritas Solidarity Vermouth began and ran throughout the week until Sunday, September 10. From 12 to 5 in the afternoon, in the Plaza de Jardinillo in Guadalajara, members of all the Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods of Guadalajara and volunteers and workers from Cáritas met to collaborate generously and voluntarily in the Solidarity Vermouth.

We make a special mention to all the members of the Brotherhoods and brotherhoods who from the beginning promoted and helped make this project a reality, and without them it would not be possible to carry it out each year.

Cáritas also appreciates the welcome and solidarity of the people of Alcarra and visitors who make this space a mandatory stop to have a drink and aperitif and enjoy friendship, excitement and joy during these days of Guadalajara festivities; as well as the dedication and commitment of the nearly 200 volunteers who have been working there and the generosity of companies and public institutions that have collaborated and supported Vermut Solidario.

We had musical collaborations in the entertainment of the Vermouth: Gaiteros de Mirasierra, Sabiano y los Invisibles, Doble o Nada and Desorden that delighted and enlivened the days as well as the “play corner” of children enjoying themselves while the parents participated in the Vermouth.

The proceeds obtained from the Vermouth, once the costs of products and assembly have been deducted, have been €14,535, which will be allocated to the social action projects that Cáritas develops, accompanying and caring for the most vulnerable people.

“You have a lot to do with it”, We Are Opportunity. We are Hope, read the advertising poster and the t-shirts of all the volunteers. From this point of view we are convinced that each one of us has a lot to do with the opportunities that other people may have. What you do or don’t do, what you can contribute, can give life, alleviate loneliness, heal the soul. Our task is not only to meet the needs of others, but to discover possibilities to open paths of hope. Thank you all for your generosity.
