The CDCOC is conducting a large-scale special operation to neutralize an organized criminal group for inciting lewd activity and providing sexual services, BNT reports. The operation is taking place in Sofia and the districts of Pleven and Pazardzhik.
The group has been operating in the capital since 2019. Its leader and other members have been detained.
According to unconfirmed information, many women have been identified as victims of the group’s criminal activities.
According to information from Bulgaria ON AIR, OCG has been operating on the territory of Sofia since 2019.
The leader of the criminal group – Lyubomir Varbanov – Chopi, son of the well-known in criminal circles Hristo Varbanov – Itzo Papata, as well as other members of the group were detained. Numerous women victims of the group’s criminal activities have been identified.
