On the 3rd, Ipchun, which means’spring begins’, snow will fall all over the country, including the metropolitan area and Gangwon-do. In addition, the lowest temperature in the morning drops to -14 degrees Celsius, and the cold wave rises.
This snow will be concentrated in the central region where the cloud belt is highly developed due to atmospheric instability during the night. In particular, in eastern Gyeonggi Province and Gangwon-do (excluding the east coast of Gangwon), which are affected by strong winds and topography, there may be places where a maximum of 15 cm of snow accumulates.
On this day, the whole country is generally sunny, but it will gradually fade from daytime. From evening to dawn on the 4th, 3-10cm of snow will fall in the western part of Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, northern Chungbuk, and northeastern Gyeongbuk. It is expected that 5 to 15 cm of snow will fall in the eastern part of Gyeonggi and Gangwon-do (excluding the east coast of Gangwon).
It will fall about 1cm to 1cm in the Chungnam region, southern Chungbuk, Jeonbuk, northeastern Jeollabuk-do, the inland of Gyeongbuk region, the western inland of Gyeongnam, the mountains of Jeju Island, the west sea 5do, Ulleungdo and Dokdo, and about 1cm on the east coast of Gangwon and the east coast of northern Gyeongbuk.
The lowest temperature in the morning was -14 to -2 degrees Celsius, and the highest temperature in the daytime was predicted to be 0 to 7 degrees Celsius.
The concentration of fine dust will record’good’ to’normal’ in the entire area due to smooth air diffusion.
On the east coast, there may be places where high waves caused by swells cross the seashore or have white sand beaches.
In the far sea in the middle of the East Sea and in the far sea in the southern part of the East Sea, the wind blows very strongly and the waves will be very high.
The waves of the sea will rise from 0.5 to 2.5 m off the east sea, 0.5 to 2.0 m off the west sea, and 0.5 to 1.0 m off the south sea. The wave height of the far sea is expected to be 1.0 to 5.0 m in the east sea, 0.5 to 3.5 m in the west sea, and 0.5 to 2.5 m in the south sea.
