Jeremie Frimpong is happy with the result against AS Roma in the semi-final of the Europa League, but does not count himself rich yet. He is happy that Bayer Leverkusen is undefeated for the 47th game in a row.
Leverkusen triumphed 0-2 in Rome on Thursday evening and is on the threshold of the Europa League final. Frimpong does that well. “We knew it was going to be difficult at Roma, because we were eliminated here last year,” said Frimpong Veronica. ‘We had not forgotten that, everyone was extremely motivated. I’m happy we won, but I could have scored myself. I need to practice that more.’
An extra positive thing for Leverkusen is that Xabi Alonso’s team has not lost 47 matches in a row (!). ‘How many? 47? That’s nice, but we can’t get complacent, because we still have games to play.’
73 percent of voters from Veronica would like to see Frimpong in Orange. Now that the European Championship is approaching, this is the time for the defender to show himself once again to national coach Ronald Koeman. ‘That’s nice to hear, especially when it concerns your country. I’ll just do my best. The national coach has to decide where I should play. My Dutch? Oh, that’s coming.’
