It’s today… A hug to Carlos Cunha

One day I will write a few lines about Carlos Cunha. I’m referring to Carlos Cunha, the businessman, owner of one of the most emblematic cultural spaces in Luanda, CASA 70. He is an unavoidable figure in Angolan culture, politics and business.

It’s possible so. In fact, it seems that it is, because few people have or know about the resilience that characterized it. A few years ago, when he was still younger, he brought together a group of young Angolans, almost all of them living in the interior, who saw agriculture as a path to the future and, undoubtedly, to success.

In a small group, with that false fragile but docile voice, he extended his rooms to those present – one of the rooms of CASA 70 and his vast experience, today consolidated in the affirmation far from the years of penury and demands that he has experienced. Almost beardless, although some with some experience, it was possible to see them, enthusiastic and dedicated to a cause that they didn’t even think would become national.

When you write or point out entrepreneurship in the field, be amazed, there are names that were being built by hand. Today there are several names that are asserting themselves, many of them have the seal of a relationship of friendship, cordiality and sincerity, built through Carlos Cunha and others. I would really like to one day be able to dedicate a chronicle to him. It would be good. Many would have the opportunity to know that behind that being who created the well-known CASA 70 there is much more.

Some are asserting themselves, undeniably showing that, in recent times, several examples have emerged from the earth that we can soon be proud of. I visited one of them and I promise to write about his exploits: Felisberto Capamba. It was Capamba that I wanted to write about after visiting one of the farms that this young businessman owns in Huambo, the province where the third edition of the Medianova Group Business and Connectivity Forum took place. In the next few days, we will talk about him. Meanwhile, the honors go to Carlos Cunha, and Felisberto will certainly understand.
