Family entertainment, adventure series or reality show. Regardless of what you want to call Över Atlanten, the program has become a hit with viewers. Season six has now premiered and more are to be expected in the future.

Rarely, if ever, has sailing and boating been allowed to take up as much space in prime time as the hit show Over the Atlantic. Season after season, Swedish sports profiles, musicians, actors and other well-known people have had to embark on the adventure of a lifetime.

Now it is time for the sixth edition.

On February 6 on Kanal 5 at 9:00 p.m., we can follow along when Malin Gramer, Jessica Andersson, Tobias “Tobbe Trollkarl” Blom, Anders Övfergård, Hampus Hedström, Björn Kjellman pattern on Coo Krantz Swan 70 to make the longest passage in the program’s history. This time the crew is taken from Gran Canaria all the way to Rio de Janeiro.

The series has been praised as “Best Reality Show” and when we had a chat with skipper Gurra Krantz last fall, he gave his view on why he thinks so many people appreciate the show.

– It is basically a good program. A reality show without “Big Brother” or “Robinson” tendencies. It’s tough, rich in content and stuff is always happening. I think the common man’s perception is that it’s a very nice program. Eight out of ten people who come up to me in town thank me for the fact that it is the only television program that brings the whole family together in front of the television at the same time. That, if anything, is a receipt, Gurra Krantz said.

Season seven has already been recorded

It is important to have foresight and time the seasons correctly. Recently, the participants of what will be season seven arrived at their destination Saint Maarten.

But before it appears in the box, we have to wait a little while, more precisely until after the summer. Then, among others, the hockey legend Peter Forsberg joins in for a trip he won’t soon forget!

The sixth season can be watched Discovery Plus and Channel 5.
