Sarah Bouhaddi (145 caps) is expected to leave the Rhone club with German midfielder Dzsenifer Marozsan. Aged 33, Bouhaddi was trained at CNE de Clairefontaine before playing in Toulouse (2005-2006), Juvisy (2006-2009) and then Lyon where she was ten times champion of France, won seven French cups and especially six times the Champions League.
In a daily interview Progress, OL President Jean-Michel Aulas said he would not give up keeping Bouhaddi and Marozsan, recalling that the North American championship has now stopped. He also suggested that the two players could also join OL Reign, the club bought by Olympique Lyonnais in late 2019, and said that if they left, OL would organize “an even bigger recruitment for next season”. Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Dolores Gallardo is expected to replace Bouhaddi in OL goals.
