Mexico City.- During the opening of the event Mexico 21st Century of the Telmex Telcel Foundation, Carlos Slim DomitChairman of the Board of Directors of Carso Group y America Movilstressed that our country is at a key historical moment to achieve accelerated and strong economic growth.
This development, according to Slim, can be driven by the relocation of companies, economic integration with North America and strengthening supply chains.
Slim stressed that private national investment, which represents between 70 and 80 percent of the total, will be the main driver of this growth, complemented by public and foreign support.
He stressed the importance of a strong rule of law and national unity to create more jobs and eradicate extreme poverty.
In his speech, Slim also highlighted the transformative role of connectivity and artificial intelligence (AI), aiming for the “era of inclusion,” which is changing the way we live and work.
AI, he said, is revolutionizing sectors such as health, facilitating more precise diagnoses and personalized treatments, while in education it allows for the provision of digital tutors tailored to the needs of each student.
For small businesses, it automates processes and improves management, democratising access to essential tools for social and economic growth.
Slim concluded his speech by emphasizing that Mexico has great potential and that the new generations have the responsibility to consolidate it for the benefit of all.
