“It’s the best performance, what’s this?” Naver fights with incentives too

Naver, which achieved the highest performance last year, is showing signs of a labor-management conflict over the standard for paying employee incentives.

Naver

– According to the IT industry on the 16th, the Naver branch of the KCTU chemical fiber food union sent an e-mail to all executives and staff members on the 6th of this month stating, “Please transparently disclose the performance pay calculation criteria.”

The e-mail contained the content that “Naver performed a record high performance last year in a non-face-to-face wind, but the incentives paid were less than that”

It is reported that the labor union insisted that the standards for paying incentives should be improved, pointing out that the standards for paying incentives were completely private.

Naver posted a record high of 5.304.1 billion won in sales and 1.2153 billion won in operating profit last year, up 2.18% and 5.2% respectively from the previous year.

The management is known to have explained that this year’s incentive pay was’similar to the previous year’.

The management sent an official letter to the union’s sending e-mails to all employees, saying that it was’use of non-work-related e-mails’ and requested for collection.

In recent years, even in the coronavirus situation, there have been conflicts between labor and management in various companies, including SK Hynix, which recorded the highest sales in history, and Samsung and LG.

Naver said, “For incentives, we explained the standards in advance through the CEO letter and interview with the head of the organization, and we plan to hold an additional briefing at the end of this month.”
