WhatsApp offers its users the possibility to send messages in fett, italics, and send ̶d̶̶u̶̶r̶̶c̶̶h̶̶g̶̶e̶̶s̶̶t̶̶r̶̶i̶̶c̶̶h̶̶e̶̶n̶. All you have to do is insert the following special characters:
- fett: Insert the asterisk character * before and after the text, eg *Hello*.
- italics: Add underscores before and after the text, eg _Hello_.
- d̶̶u̶̶r̶̶c̶̶h̶̶g̶̶e̶̶s̶̶t̶̶r̶̶i̶̶c̶̶h̶̶e̶̶n̶: For this you have to put tildes ~ before and after the text, eg ~Hello~.
If that is too cumbersome for you, you can also select the font manually. On Android you have to select the text you want and select the options under the three vertical dots, on Apple devices you also have to select the message and you will find the formatting styles under the arrow that appears.
