Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has been very successful since his NFL debut, but there is one thing he never did: beat Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

The 24-year-old has failed three times at this level, but he will have a fourth chance to do so Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium near downtown Baltimore when the Ravens host the Chiefs.
“It’s not me against Mahomes, not in my opinion,” Jackson told ESPN Wednesday. It probably is for everyone else, but it’s the Ravens versus the Chiefs. ”
In addition to taking the honors in each game, the MVP of the 2018 season largely dominated that of 2019. In these games, Mahomes retained an average percentage of 70.45% in his completed passes. for 378.7 yards, while Jackson managed just 52.6 percent of his throws for 170.3 yards through the air.
Known for his athleticism, Jackson accumulated 196 rushing yards during these three duels, against 32 for his rival.
In the most recent clash, in 2020 – a 34-20 victory for the Chiefs – the Ravens hub had even mentioned that Mahomes’ troop was their “kryptonite.”
“They might have beaten us three times, but that’s a thing of the past,” added Jackson. I do not feel sorry for these defeats. We will be ready to play Sunday night. ”
The Chiefs started their season with a 33-29 snatch win over the Cleveland Browns, while the Ravens started with a heartbreaking 33-27 overtime loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.
