Vincent Largeas has decided to make his voice heard. His very anger. The manager of Laser game Evolution, rue de Fleurus in Le Havre, wrote a letter this week to Édouard Philippe, mayor of the city and also to the deputies to alert on the situation of indoor leisure.
Escape game, laser game, bowling, inflatable play areas for children … So many structures that may not survive the confinement and the imposed closure.
Blame yourself for the closure of indoor leisure activities ?
–
Vincent Largeas : “The government is doing what it can. I only noticed that the supermarkets are full while I did not receive more than 30 people and only in groups of 10 who do not cross. ”
You had taken into account the health risk in your structure ?
–
“With us, the mask was mandatory, the vests disinfected after each game and frost everywhere. I have also invested € 3,500 in equipment to secure the establishment. ”
Is your business threatened ?
–
“I have € 15,500 in fixed charges that cannot be reduced. And I will get 10,000 € from the state via the solidarity fund. I have a monthly rent of € 4,900. My landlord refused to make a move.
We were closed from March to June and then from November to February depending on what is said. These are our best months, those during which we make our annual turnover. “
–
“The loan guaranteed by the State? It’s a big scam! “
There are other aids …
–
“The loan guaranteed by the State? It’s a big scam! The banks are going to put their pockets in their pockets. Because this zero rate loan has to be repaid after a year and it is infeasible. Next March, like so many others, I will not have enough cash to repay. It will therefore be necessary to request a spread over a period of three to five years. And there, the rate, we do not know! It will be the surprise. ”
As a franchisee, you have additional expenses ?
–
“The Laser game Evolution brand has been great. For March, April and May, they gave us a postponement with a reduction. For this confinement, they are not asking us anything at all. ”
What is your state of mind ?
–
“I’m disgusted … It’s my life I’m playing!” You have to stop being selfish. We are all in the same boat. The President of the Republic spoke of war, but we are not all equal at the front. ”
Waiting
The fun will not be the same, but escape game fans can, despite the confinement, train their logical mind and their sense of deduction online. The John Doe company offers home escape games, already created during the first confinement in April 2020. A first operation which had recorded 28,000 downloads, the equivalent of 180,000 players. This time the company presents two missions: Heist and Hack. To play, it’s simple, all you need is a computer and the team members each play at home in video with a liaison officer who will be their game master.
