The boarding house search service, Mamikos terminated employment (layoffs) to a number of its employees. This adds to the long list of startups that have already made similar decisions.
Co-founder and CEO of Mamikos, Maria Regina Anggit said the layoffs were carried out due to considering the current market and macroeconomic conditions. The tough decision was taken to make the company healthier and more sustainable.
“Taking into account the current market and macroeconomic conditions, Mamikos restructured to make the company structure healthier and more sustainable. Maria admitted that she could not provide more detailed information, including the number of Mamikos employees affected layoffs. Even so, it is confirmed that it is committed to fulfilling the rights of affected employees.
“Mamikos is committed to fully fulfilling employee rights and providing additional support such as a severance package (severance pay) in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, extended health benefits, and job assistance for the next 3 months,” he explained.
Regardless of the existence layoffs As an employee, Maria ensures that Mamikos services continue to run as usual as a boarding house application. Currently, there are 3 million rooms offered by cooperating with more than 200 thousand boarding house owners spread across more than 150 cities and regencies throughout Indonesia.
“There are no services that are closed and we make sure that services both to boarding house owners and Mamikos users will continue to run as usual,” he said.
