Chinese Xpeng charges for the launch of G9, a premium SUV.
Premium SUVs start at less than DKK 600,000
The manufacturer highlights the refill as one of its strong points and now, a few weeks after the premiere, they are ready to talk about the price.
Initially, the G9 will only be available for sale at XPENG’s Bjørvika showroom in Oslo, and the first customer cars will arrive in Norway in autumn 2023.

Let’s talk about two models that will be ready in the autumn of next year:
- Entry-level model XPENG RWD Long Range – two-wheel drive: NOK 568,220 (including shipping and delivery*).
- The top version AWD Performance – all-wheel drive: NOK 624,220 (including shipping and delivery*).
The Performance model also has 21″ wheels, while the RWD Long Range has 19″ wheels.

“Easy to choose”
The company says it wants to simplify the choice with many additional equipment as standard “such as an electrically retractable towbar with a trailer weight of 1500 kg, two-chamber air suspension for optimal driving comfort (only on AWD Performance) , extensive safety equipment, advanced driver assistance systems, frameless doors with soft-close technology, seat heating and front seat ventilation.
Other than that, customers just need to decide on a color. Artic White is standard, while customers can have the car delivered in Graphite Grey, Midnight Black, Silver Frost or Kaitoke Green Matte for a small surcharge.

The windshield is also heated and there is a parking assistant with “360º view included in the long list of standard equipment”.
So what more can you get?
Yes, a “Premium Cockpit” package for NOK 39,990″ which includes exquisite Nappa leather seats with massage in four of them and length-adjustable seat cushions in both the driver’s and rear seats. The front seat passenger can enjoy maximum comfort on long journeys with the possibility of opening your own footrest.”
There’s also what Xpeng calls “a massive concert hall-sounding stereo system cranking out a whopping 1,940 watts with 18 Dynaudio speakers. There are also two driver-specific speakers for navigation broadcast and phone calls topped with a speaker exterior located under the front bumper (including speaker for AVAS).The total power output for all speakers in the car is 2150 watts, and this is one of the amenities customers can enjoy in what stands out as a premium EV SUV. full luxury and fully loaded.
This is what Xpeng claims in the press release
“The XPENG G9 is a large and spacious car. With a length of almost 4.9 meters, a width of 1.94m and a height of 1.67m (1.68m without air suspension), the G9 offers a boot that swallows up to 660/1576 liters (more frunk on 71 liters). The 3.3 kW V2L solution allows you to use your car battery to power other devices with 98 kWt battery power.
Behind the wheel there is an unrivaled feeling of luxury with first-class material quality. Two large infotainment screens, each measuring 14.96 inches, allow you to manage all the car’s functions, while many services are also voice-activated.
Performance is no different either, with results such as 0-100km/h in up to 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 200km/h for the AWD version. 551 horsepower ensures a juicy torque of 717 Nm.
