jpnn.com – Sony announced its plans to increase production of its PlayStation 5 (PS5) game console as the chip supply crisis is getting over.
The Japanese technology company will step on gas to produce more until the end of 2022.
“We are on a significant path in PS5 production this year, allowing us to close the production gap with the PS4,” said Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan at a meeting with investors.
Previously, the PS5 console had been released since late 2020.
The device received a good reception by the public, but experienced a shortage of products.
Sales of the product were not as good as compared to the fourth generation.
The PS5 sold fewer and lower.
With the improvement in the number of chips, it seems that it can gradually be overcome.
