“It’s either me or the business.” What should your beloved man answer to this? | Psychologist answers | Question answer

  • Throughout my childhood and youth, I saw my mother asking my father for money, and he brought her to tears, forcing her to account for every penny. Now I’m 38, I have my own business, and I’m thinking about a family. I am dating a man, I liked him until he said: “It’s either me or the business.” Apparently he doesn’t want to feel inferior compared to my finances. I’m at a crossroads – what to choose? L. Kraiko, Minsk region.

Answers psychologist Jadwiga Monich:

– Initially, the question was posed incorrectly. A husband is a person who likes everything about you: your appearance, your interests, your environment, etc. And your friend immediately sets certain conditions for you – and demands that you lose what you invested your knowledge, time, and energy into. A man who loves you will try with all his might to increase your achievements, and not deprive you of them. And even more so, he will be proud of you, and not feel inferior. Choose a husband among those men who will love you unconditionally.
