More than 15 years after the end of the American hit series, “Sex and the City” finally continues and begins with more than just a moment of shock.
Warning, spoilers!
It was clear from the start that Kim Cattrall (65) would no longer be there as Samantha. But to see Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker, 56), Charlotte (Kristin Davis, 56) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon, 55) without girlfriend number four is surprisingly painful for real fans.
In the follow-up series, Samantha emigrated to London after an argument with Carrie and broke off contact with the friends.

“It’s kind of like she’s dead,” says Miranda at the very beginning.
At the end of the first episode of “And Just Like That …”, however, someone else is dead – and that is the far greater moment of shock. The “Sex and the City” universe will never be the same.
Between 1998 and 2004, the stories about Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha, their friendships, adventures, jobs, dates, men, clothes and shoes, had become a cult followed by millions of people around the world.

The multi-award-winning series now continues with the ten half-hour episodes of “And Just Like That …” – to be seen in Germany on Sky Comedy and Sky Ticket.
