Data on over 715 thousand people showed that the consumption of vegetable protein is associated with a lower risk of death from various diseases, including cardiovascular diseases. Thus, an additional 3% of energy from plant proteins per day reduces the risk of death by 5%.

Scientists advise including legumes, nuts and seeds, whole grains, and vegetables (corn, broccoli, asparagus, Brussels sprouts, artichokes) and soy products (tofu) in the diet. These are the sources of vegetable protein.
