“The area near Mykolaiv, which is allegedly being affected by Ukrainian forces at the moment, will continue to expand,” he said.
There is some positive news from recent days – Novovoroncovka, which was occupied by Russian forces about two weeks ago, is now back in Ukrainian hands.
There is also news from Melitopol: “South Ossetian forces are stationed in Melitopol, which means that the forces of these few other self-proclaimed republics, those who allegedly come to the aid of the Russian army, do not actually come to Ukraine to fight, they come to police.”
There are also two significant changes in Mariupol: the attack on the center has progressed and the Mariupol guards now have only about 1 km to the river.
The partly positive news is that international organizations, with the help of Turkey and Greece, are talking about the possibility of removing civilians from Mariupol by stopping the shooting for a certain period. However, this is not yet known for sure.
“The issue of the removal of humanitarian corridors and civilians is still very hot and needs to be addressed,” he said, adding that if Turkey and Greece had talked to each other, it would certainly be a positive moment.
The Zaporizhia region is still quiet and nothing is happening. “Either it’s silence before the storm or something else,” Rajev said.
