“There is such a people” has managed to collect the necessary 48 signatures of MPs from the 50th Parliament to submit a complaint to the Constitutional Court for a partial annulment of the elections, MP Stanislav Balabanov announced on Nova TV. With 48 signatures needed, ITN collected 67.
They were supported by people’s representatives from PP-DB, BSP, as well as independent deputies from the 50th parliament, a part of Velichie and a representative of DPS behind Ahmed Dogan. At the same time, yesterday “Vazrazhdane” announced that their signature failed, as they did not receive several signatures and only seven people’s representatives from the BSP, from the circle of Cornelia Ninova, supported them.
Balabanov also commented on the political plot that will develop from now on, especially after the convening of the first session of the new National Assembly on Monday. According to the deputy of Slavi Trifonov
there is no chance of a minority government getting support from the ITN.
They did not even receive an invitation for talks from the winner of the elections.
“If we get any, we will use the foundation of the 50th Parliament that we have laid. We set the dialogue and the tone for a normal conversation back then as holders of the third mandate. We saw that all parties responded to our invitations. We talked about priorities on an expert basis,” he commented.
The party will not vote for the Speaker of the National Assembly from GERB, but will broadcast its nomination, Balabanov also said. And he emphasized that they will also not “interact with Delyan Peevski”.
Balabanov commented on last night’s clashes in front of the National Theater because of John Malkovich’s production and first of all demanded the resignation of the Minister of the Interior.
His words made it clear that he did not approve of either the violence or the choice of the 139th anniversary of the Battle of Slivnitsa for the premiere of Bernard Shaw’s play, which the protesters consider offensive to Bulgaria. Balabanov gave the diagnosis of last night – “a combination of administrative nonsense”.
“Am I supposed to explain to the mayor of Sofia who is Boyan Rasate or Volen Siderov? Am I to explain to the director of the theater what happened on November 7, 1885? And why was it invented purely organizationally in the program of the National Theater to put on this production on this particular date? A combination of ridiculousness that needs to end. I can’t watch the National Theater like this. I also have many questions for the Minister of the Interior. In combination with everything he has allowed, he should certainly resign,” the politician added.
