(Elbil24): Nio is among the Chinese manufacturers who have made a name for themselves in this country. Especially since it is possible to buy cars without a battery and instead enter into a leasing agreement in which you subscribe to the battery for a monthly fee.
This means you are free to adjust the battery capacity you wish to subscribe to as Nio releases new batteries. Currently, 75 and 100 kWh capacities are offered, but the company makes no secret that a 150 kWh battery is coming soon.
The subscription also allows you to replace a fully charged battery twice a month at one of Nio’s battery swap stations at no additional cost. There are currently three in Norway.
Nio’s battery swap is an open standard, which they also allow other manufacturers to use, although they still seem alone in that particular matter.
