Itching on the skin is a sign of diabetes with high blood sugar levels.

GridHEALT.id – One of the most common diseases that afflicts adults in their early 40s is diabetes and various studies have repeatedly shown how obesity and too much fat around the abdominal area are easy targets for this lifestyle disease.

Many people who are newly diagnosed with diabetes are surprised that the condition often occurs without any obvious symptoms.

But once diagnosed, we need to check the symptoms and their severity regularly as they may get out of control and even become fatal.

Here are signs to watch for when blood sugar levels become high;

1. Skin: If you have long-term diabetes, the skin can become very dry and itchy.

This is because high blood sugar provides favorable conditions for fungal growth, thereby increasing the risk of fungal infections and bacterial infections.

We may also suffer from vaginitis and herpes if the infection spreads to the genitals. Increased blood sugar can also impact the sweat glands which can cause itching on the feet and scalp.

An itchy scalp is also a sign of elevated blood sugar levels. Try homeopathy to control diabetes.

2. Eyes: When blood sugar levels rise, the blood vessels in the eye weaken, and cholesterol deposits in the retina.
