ITB said about the viral part-time job that students need

Exceptional relief from the RAT from working on campus

Jaka said the reduction in UKT and the UKT system had nothing to do with opportunities to increase work experience on campus.

“Those are two different things. When it comes to UKT there is a national provision of 20 per cent, then based on economies of scale, based on – of course everything is taken -near, the thing called relief will come,” he said.

“If we still want to get relief later, we will give this (part-time job), provided on campus, with an opportunity. So this is the mentality that we want both of them to understand us,” he said.

Working part-time, students can earn extra income

ITB Vice Chancellor of Finance, Planning and Development, Muhamad Abduh, said that the ITB Financial Aid System is currently being developed to help students who still need financial aid even though they have received government aid. Another form is part-time work on campus.

Abduh said his party developed a system that allows students to earn extra income if they choose to work part-time on campus.

“Including there is a way of working to support ITB. Of course, this could be related to, for example, a reduction in UKT or a reduction in UKT, but the additional income students. That’s what we’re developing right now. I think that’s the big picture,” he said.

Separate Assessment of UKT Relief and Part Time Performance

Jaka said UKT’s relief assessment and part-time performance would be separate later.

“This relief from the RAT is certainly part of what is known as financial relief. But what was wrongly seen yesterday is that UKT and work are two different things,” said e.

“So people (think) if the job is not right, it means UKT relief will be revoked, right? That is what happens (the opinion) so, even if the criteria are different. Later, the one who evaluates the work and other things is actually the unit where the younger brother is “This is different for UKT,” said Jaka.

Criteria for Students with Part-Time Work Options

ITB Finance Director Anas Ma’ruf said that students who receive relief from the UK are not obliged to work part-time.

“UKT relief, as it has been until now, is still based on incoming data and students do not have to be obliged to work on that basis,” Anas said. .

Anas said that it was students who got relief from UKT but were still struggling to pay.

He gave an example, several students who were subject to UKT relief of IDR 5 million per semester were able to pay their UKT. At the same time, many others are still having trouble paying it. Therefore, this group of students who still have problems can find financial support options such as part-time work.

“For example, a UKT value of Rp. 5 million has been set for you, and we monitor it and it turns out that Rp. 5 million is still heavy. The problem is, there is another friend who is also reduced to Rp. 5 million, with the same data, it is paid off.

Student Employment Income Options: Transfer or Deduct BPP

When students were asked about paying for student work, Anas said that transfer options or significant reductions in tuition fees for Education Supply Fees (BPP) could be implemented.

“Both can be done, students can qualify through an account transfer or apply for this to be paid to reduce the BPP bill,” he said.

“Both of these are already going on. For example, yesterday you had friends who were helping at the Education Directorate (ITB), they asked not to be in debt, reducing the value of the BPP. And as it happened so far, for example, assistants, if indeed (want) to move, so we move The options are open,” continued Anas. .
