Italy narrowly won over Ukraine 2-1 in the 2024 European Cup Qualification, Wednesday (13/9) early morning WIB at the San Siro. Italy is currently in second place in Group C with seven points from four matches, behind England with 13 points from five matches.
Gianluigi Donnarumma became captain in the match. But unfortunately, Donnarumma is still criticized by his own fans.
Donnarumma is cheered every time he plays football. Colleagues at Italian national team furious about it, like Davide Frattesi.
“That’s a real shame,” Frattesi said Sky Sports Italia.
“I’ve never seen anything like that before. An Italian player wearing his national team jersey and fighting to win, but being booed by his own fans,” he growled.
“I gave him encouragement. I said that he was a great player and the team loved him. Luckily Donnarumma is a top player who is not affected by things like that,” he concluded.
It is believed that it was the Italian fans who booed Gianluigi Donnarumma is an AC Milan supporter. It seems that they are still hurt by Donnarumma leaving for PSG in 2021.
