Italy and San Marino met only on three occasions: on the first two occasions the match ended with the Azzurri’s 4-0, respectively in 1992 and 2013. In 2017, on the other hand, there was even an 8-0 by the team. Italy, thanks to the goals of Lapadula (hat-trick), Ferrari, Petagna, Caldara and Politano. However, the match is not considered to be official for the purposes of statistics. In any case, San Marino has never managed to score even a goal against the Azzurri.
