Apparently, the Italian state is engaged in the construction of new stadiums for Milan and Roma. This was confirmed to Football Italia by Sports Minister Andrea Abodi.

The country plans to jointly host the 2032 European Championships with Turkey, and for this it will need new, more modern facilities, since the old San Siro and Olimpico have long lagged behind modern sporting trends.
