A booster dose of Pfizer or Modern vaccine for 1.6 million Italians immunized with Johnson & Johnson has been reported by people close to the Italian Medicines Agency, Reuters reported.

In September, Italy began immunizing vulnerable groups and people over the age of 60 with a third vaccine dose.

More than 44.8 million Italians, or 83% of the population over the age of 12, have completed a vaccination cycle against the coronavirus.
