Boris Johnson keeps morale high
In the United Kingdom, there are now more than 5,000 deaths with an increase of 439 in a single day, according to the official report published Monday.
According to health services, the death toll is now 5,373 dead and 51,608 officially listed contaminations, including Prime Minister Boris Johnson, hospitalized.
This is the second day in a row that the number of deaths has dropped after daily reports worsened throughout the past week.
Diagnosed with the Covid-19 on March 27, Boris Johnson, 55, is the only high-powered head of state or government to be infected. He was hospitalized in a central London hospital on Sunday evening for tests, said his services as he continued to show symptoms of the disease, including fever.
“His morale is good” and he remains in charge of the government, assured his spokesman on Monday.
