Italy – 38th day
Juventus still beaten, Ciro Immobile in history, Imperial Milan … FF recaps most of the other meetings of the Serie A multiplex.
Juventus worried
Admittedly, Juventus, already champion, had nothing more to play. Admittedly, Maurizio Sarri had decided to align the B team, with three young shoots (Frabotta, Muratore, Zanimacchia). Certainly, Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala observed their comrades from the stands. But no, this home defeat against Roma (1-3) does not inspire anything positive about the Old Lady. Six days before the knockout stages of the Champions League against Lyon, Sarri’s men have chained a second consecutive defeat, after that conceded to Cagliari (2-0). Worse, the Bianconeri have not created anything, have even stammered their football, despite an advantage taken very early thanks to Gonzalo Higuain (1-0, 5th) on a pass from Adrien Rabiot. As feared this week by the Italian press, the defense, embodied by the framework Leonardo Bonucci, has completely pulled out. Nikola Kalinic, left too alone at the penalty spot (1-1, 23rd), allowed the Romans to return to the match. Then Danilo “defended” and conceded a penalty, for the first of two goals from Diego Perotti (1-2, 44th). Perfectly served by Nicolo Zaniolo, the Argentine closed the demonstration of a heavy strike full center (1-3, 52nd). Dominated, uninspired, the Turinese are officially champions for one point only … and give hope to OL.
Sarri has now lost as many Serie A games in his first season as the coach of Juventus as Antonio Conte lost in his entire three season spell at Juventus in the Serie A.

In one season at Juventus, Maurizio Sarri has lost as many matches as Antonio Conte in three seasons …
Motionless power 36
Holder, Higuain could not prevent Ciro Immobile to equal his record of goals in a season of Serie A. On the lawn of Napoli, the Italian scored his 36th goal in the Championship (1-1, 22nd), as the Argentine in 2015-16. The striker smiles for this personal victory, but his team grimaces. Lazio lost (3-1), and therefore finished fourth after spending the season in second place … Neapolitan scorers: Fabian Ruiz from outside the area (9th, 1-0), Lorenzo Insignia on the penalty spot (2-1, 54th) and Matteo Politano (3-1, 93rd). The big black point of the meeting also concerns Insigne, who injured himself alone, in the thigh (83rd). One week away from facing FC Barcelona in the Champions League, (1-1 in the first leg). The pocket winger left the field in tears.
