Sources at the Palermo prosecutor’s office revealed that Laura Bonafede allegedly used an encrypted code when communicating with Messina Denaro when she wanted to refer to accomplices and a series of illegal activities. At the same time, until the day of his arrest, the information so far shows that he was supplying the “godfather of godfathers” with the necessary food and other essential items to protect him from the coronavirus.
Their relationship reportedly began in the mid-1990s, Italian news agency Ansa reports.
