Italy in the final, Jorginho: “To take the last penalty I breathed and forgot what I was around”

Jorginho, Italy midfielder who scored the penalty that awarded the Euro 2020 final to the Azzurri against Spain, spoke to Sky Sport: “A wonderful match against a team that put us in difficulty, we were able to suffer to the end and deserved to win.”

How does it feel to take the last penalty?
“(laughs, ed) When you kick you feel it’s over, I tried to forget what I was around to do what I trained for. I breathed trying to stay calm.”

Strength is the group.
“We never give up, it’s a wonderful group that deserves the best. It suffers, plays, laughs, jokes and even fights every now and then. Always together”.
