The Italian authorities have asked Brazil to extradite the footballer Robinho. The former AC Milan striker was sentenced to nine years in prison in the Apennines for gang rape.
The victim was a 23-year-old Albanian woman in a Milan nightclub on January 22, 2013. The verdict was also confirmed by the Supreme Court. In connection with the case, the ministry also requested the extradition of one of Robinho’s friends, Ricardo Falcao.
The 38-year-old played for Milan from 2010 to 2014 and scored 25 goals in 108 games. He played 100 games for the national team and scored 28 goals. The Brazilian constitution does not allow the extradition of its citizens from their homeland. He informed the ansa.it portal.
