ROMESeptember 16 – Italy approved on Friday a new aid package worth around 14 billion euros (13.97 billion dollars) to protect businesses and households from rising energy costs and consumer prices. government officials told Reuters.
The new package, probably Prime Minister Mario Draghi’s last big move before the national elections on 25 September, adds to the almost 52 billion euros already allocated since January to alleviate Italy’s energy crisis.
