All matches in Group A Euro 2020 has finished playing. The Italian and Welsh national teams ensure a step to the next round.
The last two Euro 2020 Group A matches were held simultaneously on Sunday (20/6/2021) night WIB. There is a duel Italia vs Wales, as well as Switzerland vs Turkey.
Italy vs Wales is presented at the Stadio Olimpico, Rome. The Azzurri 1-0 up at half-time thanks to a Matteo Pessina goal.
Wales had to play with 10 men in the second half after Ethan Ampadu was sent off by the referee. The score 1-0 for Italy lasted until the game was over.
Shift to another match, Switzerland vs Turkey held at the Baku Olympic Stadium. Switzerland went 2-0 up in the first half through goals from Haris Seferovic in the sixth minute, and Xherdan Shaqiri (26′).
Turkey had time to reduce the lag in the 62nd minute thanks to goals Irfan Kahveci. Switzerland scored their third goal six minutes later through Shaqiri’s second. The match ended with the score 3-1 for the win Red Cross.
The results in the last match of Group A deliver Italy National Team came out as group winners with nine points. Roberto Mancini’s squad swept the win in all group stage matches.
Wales National Team is in second place with four points. The Dragons have the same points with Switzerland, but superior on goal difference and have the right to accompany Italy to the next round.
Switzerland still has a chance to escape the path of the best four teams among the occupants of the third position. Anything Turkey make sure to lift the suitcase from Euro 2020 without picking up a single point from three games.
