Italy’s Igor Gorgonzola Novara volleyball team, played by Ebrar Karakurt, faced Eczacıbaşı Dynavit last night.
Eczacıbaşı Dynavit defeated Igor Novara 3-0 in the second leg of the Champions League Semi-Final where he lost 3-2 in the first leg and made his mark in the final.
After the match, the Italian team stayed at the hotel next to the Burhan Felek Sports Hall. Julia Ituma was found lying motionless in front of the hotel at around 5:30 am.
Police and paramedics arrived at the scene.
Medical teams determined that Ituma was dead. While the police teams started an investigation on the incident, it was learned that Julia Ituma, a Nigerian-born Italian citizen, stayed on the 6th floor of the hotel.
The shoes of the volleyball player drew attention where the teams were working.
While the team could not get over the shock, Ebrar Karakurt was also seen in front of the hotel.
Ituma was also reported to have said in a conversation with his other teammates and team coach that they didn’t know if he had any problems.
THE POLICE HAS INSPECTED
It was found that Julia Ituma fell from the window of the hotel where she was staying.
The police determined that Julia Ituma entered her room after wandering the corridor between 22:30 and 23:50.

INVESTIGATION STARTED
An investigation was launched by the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office regarding Ituma’s death.
As part of the investigation, Ituma’s dead examination procedures were carried out. He was sent for autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. The exact cause of death will be revealed as a result of the next report.
Meanwhile, the Italian team left the hotel around 13:00.

Ituma, who was born in Milan to a Nigerian family, is 1.92 tall and stands out with his strong physique, also won the U19 European Championship.
The 19-year-old Ituma was also named the Most Valuable Player of the U19 European Championship last September.
