Police arrested a 25-year-old suspect in Central Park when he was threatening a third man. The 30-year-old, who was aiming for a doctorate after completing his studies at the Polytechnic University in Turin, died of serious injuries in the abdominal area. His compatriot (27) was taken to hospital with injuries to his upper body. His life is not in danger, as confirmed by the Italian Foreign Ministry. The alleged attacker is said to have been a member of a gang and was taken into police custody at least 11 times for robbery and other criminal offenses.
