French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin said last week that Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni “had failed to solve the migration problems for which she was elected.”
Darmanin added that Meloni “lied” to voters that she could end the migration crisis.
In terms of events, Tajani canceled a visit to Paris in protest over what he considered an “insult” to Italy.
“I hope that the French government will change its position and apologize, which will be the opposite of the position taken by the Minister of the Interior. I will be happy to accept them,” he stressed.
