On Sunday morning, the organizer of Eurovision announces that the singer will take a voluntary drug test to assert his innocence.
– The band denies having used drugs and will take a voluntary drug test after returning home to Italy, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) writes in a statement.
The Eurovision winner claims in the controversial video clip he bowed his head to pick up broken glass. The EBU says they have checked the area he was sitting in, and found just broken glass on the floor.
– The EBU can confirm that broken glass was found. We still look carefully through the pictures, and will come up with an update when we can, writes the broadcasting union.
Created speculation
Måneskin ran away with the victory in this year’s Eurovision final, but during the count after the final, an event created debate online.
In several video clips, taken from the live count after the final, the producer films the various participants from Eurovision’s green room.
When the camera moves to Moonlight, the vocalist bends down towards the table and makes a quick movement with his head. Several speculated that David took cocaine or another drug directly.
