An Italian doctor tested positive for Corona 19 six days after vaccination against Pfizer-Bioentech’s novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19).

According to reports from multiple local media such as’Il Mesazero’ on the 3rd (hereafter local time), antonella Franco, a doctor working at the Umberto I hospital in Syracuse in Sicily, Italy, said Pfizer Vaccine 1 in Palermo, Sicily’s capital, on the 28th of last month. On the 2nd, 6 days after receiving the primary vaccination, he was tested positive for Corona 19.

Italian health authorities are conducting a close epidemiological investigation to determine exactly when he was infected with the virus. However, Italian health officials explained that even if they were infected after vaccination, the efficacy of the vaccine would not be questioned.

In principle, Pfizer’s vaccine is administered twice every three weeks, and Pfizer previously said that only following this method can get more than 95% of the preventive effect.

The doctor also said in an interview with the local media that he will be vaccinated again, saying, “It will remind you that the vaccine is the only chance to win the battle against the virus.”
