The mechanical vehicles used hydraulic pliers to crush and crumble the roof, load-bearing walls and slabs of the old building, while in the next few days the operations will be completed with the total removal of the rubble. The time schedule foresees the beginning of the excavations by mid-November, and then proceeding with the construction of the new complex, which will be called «Rovelli 5», like the street and the house number where one of the entrances to the Italcementi warehouses once stood.
The construction company Ferretticasa will build the new apartments by the spring of 2023. The works foresee an urban redevelopment of 5 thousand cubic meters, which will give life to about fifteen residential units including two-room, three-room, four-room and penthouses, all equipped with modern technologies , in energy class A4, with photovoltaic panels, heat pumps and optical fiber for a smart home.
