Doha: Qatar’s meteorological department said there is a possibility of rain in Qatar until Wednesday. The department has communicated in the latest weather forecast that it will rain from Monday evening to Wednesday. A warning was also issued that there could be rain with thunder on Tuesday. The advisory indicated that precipitation will vary in intensity and southerly winds are likely on Tuesday. On Wednesday the wind will be from the northwest. Sometimes there will be sudden and strong winds.
Due to the effect of the wind, there will be a significant drop in temperature. The maximum temperature will be between 17 degrees Celsius and 21 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature will be between 11 and 16 degrees Celsius. The department also warned that the temperature will drop further in the southern and outer regions.
On Monday, Abu Samra and Karana recorded a minimum temperature of 11 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature was 12 degrees in Shahania, Dukhan, Turaina, Guwairia, Jumailia and Mukainis. The temperature reached 13 degrees in Qatar University and Al Khor.
The minimum temperature was 14 degrees Celsius at Hamad, Wakrah, Mesaieed and Umm Bab airports and 15 degrees Celsius at Ruwais, Doha and Shaheimiyyah airports. The weather department has advised the public to take weather updates only from official sources and not to rely on unofficial social media accounts.
