If Corona didn’t happen, the Oscar gala would be in two weeks. One that would be announced with many popular productions. Everything turned out differently: The state’s 142 cinemas (26 in Upper Austria) have been closed for almost four months, and in 2019 they booked a whopping 14 million visitors – an increase of 5.8 percent on 2018.
