Those most attentive to the government have realized that it is much more convenient to waive part of the taxes on a commodity that has become necessary and primary rather than subsidizing families with bill bonuses.
Good news for those who use pellet stoves and above all for those who have made them their primary form of heating. With the arrival of winter, Italian families have added to their concerns over the cost of natural gas the price of a 15 kg bag of pellets, which has gone from 5 to around 15 euros.
The cost of pellets will be reduced thanks to VAT
In detail, the proposed maneuver will bring the VAT on pellets from 22% to 5%. This is an amendment that thus reducing the final cost in retail by 17%. If traders do not speculate on the new prices, the expected reduction for a bag of pellets should drop from 15 euros to 12.45 euros.
