“The greatest value of the 700 MHz frequency is its ability to transmit signals over a much wider area, as well as to reach indoor devices more widely. Therefore, we will only be able to talk about a more serious deployment of the 5G network in 2022, when mobile operators will have full 700 MHz frequency is available, “says Līga Krūmiņa, Tele2 technical director. “We are currently actively preparing and expanding 5G coverage in a smart and pragmatic way, so that when the necessary frequencies are available to operators and a wider range of 5G devices is available on the market.”
