In line with the “culture and art city” goal of Izmir Metropolitan Mayor Tunç Soyer, Izmir will host the Izmir Polyphonic Choirs Festival for the second time this year. The choir sessions of the festival, which will be held on April 11-16, in cooperation with the İzmir Branch of the Turkish Polyphonic Choirs Association, will be held at the Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center and the talks will be held at the Kültürpark Youth Theatre.
81 choirs will be hosted at the festival
The festival will host 81 choirs. Choirs will be evaluated by the “Festival Evaluation Board” in 15 different musical branches, without competing with each other, and will be rewarded artistically in the musical branch with the highest score.
