There should also be free travel on the transit routes in Austria and Switzerland – also slowed down in some places by construction sites and commuter traffic on Friday.

The ACE also considers traffic jams in front of the Gotthard tunnel to be possible late on Saturday morning – with a manageable waiting time. The ACE lists online which passes are already passable or are still blocked.

Border traffic should move forward quickly
Random checks are to be expected for border traffic. However, due to the easing of entry regulations in many countries, things are progressing much faster than they were a few weeks ago, according to the ADAC.
