Edinson Cavani rumored to be leaving this summer. In order to reduce these rumors, Cavani then uploaded this on his social media.
Cavani was recruited by MU in the transfer market last summer on a free transfer. Even though he is 34 years old, Cavani is still a mainstay in the Red Devils’ attack line.
In the Premier League, Cavani has so far scored six goals in 18 appearances. MU then wanted to keep him next season because there was an option in Cavani’s contract.
But, not until that intention was realized, there were already obstacles from Cavani’s side, in this case his family. The father claimed, his son was not at home in Manchester and wanted to return to South America immediately.
The goal is Argentine club Boca Juniors, whose vice-president Juan Roman Riquelme has also started courting Cavani to play there. The case of posting on Instagram smelled of racial abuse some time ago was thought to have made Cavani disappointed.
Therefore Cavani chose to leave it instead of having to deal with the case in the future. If Cavani leaves, then MU is arguably losing money because of the loss of an experienced player who can become a mentor for MU’s young attackers.
Amid the anxiety of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and club management, Cavani then uploaded posts on his Instagram and Twitter accounts. Its contents are arguably for the sake of calming the hearts of supporters of The Red Devils.
“Proud to wear this uniform @ManUtd,” Cavani said on his Twitter and Instagram accounts, Wednesday (10/3/2021) morning WIB while including a photo of him celebrating.
