Manju Warrier is one of the best actresses in Malayalam. Manju started her acting career with Sallapath directed by Sundar Das and became one of the best actresses in Malayalam in a short span of time. Manju, who took a break from films after the release of the 1999 film Kannakhyapi Potum Thot, made a comeback in 2014 with the release of How Old Are You. Later, Manju regained his old position by choosing only the best films.
Apart from Malayalam, Manju made her presence felt in Tamil. Pachaiyamal’s character in Asuran directed by Vetrimaran surprised everyone. H with Ajith as the hero. Directed by Vinod, Thunivil came for the action hero and surprised again.
After Jai Bhim, TJ said Manju is also a part of Vettaiyayan directed by Gnanvel. Manju’s spirited performance in the song Manasilayo from the film was the talk of the town on social media. Manju is playing the role of Rajinikanth’s heroine Tara in Vettaiyan.
Manju shares her experience when she got engaged to Thuni and Vettaiyyan. Manju said that when Vinod, who signed Theran Adhikaram, called him, he heard the story and immediately said okay. Manju said that he was not told then that Ajith was the hero and was shocked when he came to know.
Manju said that the situation was the same with Vettaiyyan and when Jai Bheem called him to tell the story of Gnanavel, he said okay as soon as he heard the story. Manju said when he got to know that she was Rajini’s wife, he was shocked and asked again if what he heard was true. Manju Warrier was speaking to Sun Music.
”Asura was the first thing made in Tamil. Many stories came to me after that movie. Many of them were in occupations like Pachaiammal. That’s when Vinod calls me. Theeran is my favorite movie. He called me and told me the story. It was a role that had never been done in Malayalam or Tamil.
After hearing the story, he said ok. Ajith sir came to know that he was the hero when he was called the second time. The situation was the same in Vettaiyan. Jai called Gnanavel Bheem and told the story. It felt great. I told Gnanavel I will do it. That’s when it was said that Rajini will play the role of Shir’s wife in this. Suddenly I said ‘What?’ asked that. It took some time to realize that what I heard was true,’ said Manju Warrier.
