It is still unknown where the amino acids came from on our planet. Perhaps they were simply “attached” to the Earth, but it is also possible that they came with asteroids (meteorites on which amino acids have been detected have already been found). Failure to answer this question does not change the fact that the study turned out to be groundbreaking. All because the probe collected subsurface materials that were not changed by sunlight or cosmic rays. Earth’s air also had no effect on the samples taken, while falling asteroids burn up on contact with the Earth’s atmosphere.
